EARLY ENGAGEMENT
PROGRAMME

Providing opportunities for players to develop their skills and reach their potential.
ABOUT
THE PROGRAMME
The Early Engagement Development Programme (EEP) structures a cricket programme for U9-U12 players across the County, focussing on game-based learning and instilling fundamental basics within the game, as laid out against our Talent Development Framework (TDF). Our regional model looks to provide a localised winter programme of coaching, followed by a full fixture programme across the summer for all the players and is centred around supporting the players to learn and embrace the game, whilst identifying talent for the future.
Our programme for 2026 will consist of a 14-week winter block of sessions, delivered regionally to avoid unnecessary travel and we look to add value across the school half-terms and summer holidays, with an additional state-school offering.
NOMINATION &
ASSESSMENT PROCESS

For 2026 our nomination process for new players is changing and updating to a modern, clearer, and more relevant process for the modern world. It aims to allow more players to be uncovered and helps maintain a transparent and accessible process, through what is a simple to use online video submission platform.
