COMMUNITY
Building stronger communities through cricket, participation and connection.

SUPER 1’s
Our Super 1s hubs give young people with additional needs the chance to enjoy regular, inclusive cricket. They offer a supportive environment where participants can compete with their peers, make new friends, build confidence, and develop valuable life skills.
STREET CRICKET
Chance to Shine Street uses cricket to bring young people together, promote social cohesion, and create new opportunities in diverse communities affected by anti‑social behaviour and youth crime. It ensures that every child — no matter where they live — can experience cricket, especially in areas without clubs or green spaces.
Street Cricket is a fast‑paced, 20‑ball format that takes just 20 minutes to play. With minimal equipment needed, it’s perfect for inner‑city venues and completely accessible for all.

WICKETZ
Wicketz is a free community cricket programme initially targeting young people aged 8-16, living in deprived communities. By establishing sustainable community cricket hubs, we provide year-round weekly cricket sessions with a focus on developing crucial life skills, creating stronger communities and enabling brighter futures for those taking part.

JUNIOR CRICKET
COACHING

Our Junior Cricket Coaching Camps provide a fun, safe, and engaging environment for young cricketers of all abilities to learn, develop, and enjoy the game. Delivered by our experienced Foundation coaches, our camps combine skill development, exciting games, and plenty of opportunities to make new friends while staying active during the school holidays.
We offer holiday camps throughout the year, including the February Half-Term, Easter Holidays, May Half-Term, and Summer Holidays, catering for children from Reception through to Year 11. Whether your child is picking up a bat for the first time or looking to take their game to the next level, our programmes are designed to support every stage of their cricket journey.
In addition to our holiday camps, we offer 1-to-1 coaching sessions with Foundation coaches at The County Ground, Hove, providing personalised support to help young players achieve their individual goals.

SPORTING MEMORIES
Sporting Memories clubs use the power of sport’s rich history to bring people aged 50+ together for conversation, laughter, and connection. Our weekly sessions provide a warm, welcoming space for anyone who enjoys reminiscing including those living with dementia, memory challenges, or long‑term health conditions.
Led by trained facilitators, the clubs spark conversation through specially designed resources and often include light, fun physical activities. New friendships grow, incredible stories are shared, and members feel part of a supportive community united by a love of sport.

WALKING CRICKET
Are you aged 50+, wish you could play sport but not sure where to start?
Why not join our fun and friendly Walking Cricket Clubs. Played at a slower pace, Walking Cricket can be a great way to do more exercise whilst meeting new people and having some fun.
LGBTQ+ CRICKET
The Sussex Cricket Foundation are committed to continuing to build and grow LGBTQ+ cricket opportunities, and we’re really looking forward to delivering further activity and events as we move forward with our next steps in the development of an LGBTQ+ cricket group.
