VOLUNTEERS
From coaching junior teams and running clubhouses to scoring matches, maintaining grounds, organising events, and supporting young players, they keep the game alive in every community.
Volunteering in cricket is hugely rewarding. Whether you want to support your local club, help your child at training, or simply give something back to the sport you love, there’s a role for everyone.
Volunteers don’t just help the game run smoothly they also create welcoming environments, strengthen communities, and inspire the next generation of players, coaches, umpires, and fans.
Here you’ll find all the information, guidance, and support you need to get involved and make a difference.

WOMEN & GIRLS
Growing women’s and girls’ participation is one of the Sussex Cricket Foundation’s key objectives. We’re committed to expanding opportunities across the county and supporting clubs, schools, and communities to develop the female game at every level.
Our programmes continue to grow each year, offering girls‑only leagues and festivals, school initiatives, women‑specific coaching and volunteer development, and dedicated support from our specialised delivery team. Working alongside our Club Support Officers, we help clubs create welcoming, sustainable environments for women and girls to enjoy cricket whether they’re picking up a bat for the first time or playing competitive hard‑ball cricket.
From entry‑level softball to structured hard‑ball pathways, we champion women’s and girls’ cricket in all its forms.
